Less Thunder, More Lightning is now available for pre-order.

The second book of the Benediction of Paul series, Less Thunder, More Lightning, is in the last stages of editing now, and available for pre-order on Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Kobo, for delivery to your e-reader on August 30. The paperback will follow soon after.

While Wings of Life is a pretty lighthearted look at Paul’s life in St. Alberic’s Abbey, Less Thunder, More Lightning is a bit darker. Paul is a pre-teen and experiencing physical abuse by one of the monks, but he won’t reveal who. Father Jacob is enraged that the Abbot is protecting the abbey at Paul’s expense, and at the same time, has to wrestle with the resurfacing trauma of his own abuse-riddled past.

Fr. Jacob takes it upon himself to protect the boy and solve the mystery of which of his confreres is the perpetrator, all the while trying to cope with his own struggles.
